Lorong Toh Aka is a lane in Penang, Malaysia. 

The design of the shop houses are circa 1920s.

 

A quick story:
This is a narrow lane with lots of character at George Town’s Unesco World Heritage Site.

Toh Aka Lane is said to named after a Chinese man, whom the Malays call ‘Tok Aka’ or Grandpa Aka. In the early days, the residents are mostly the Cheah clansmen and their profession are mainly ironwork.

Toh Aka Lane is also known as Ironworks St.
